What happens when a schoolteacher meets two veterans in a desert amidst a global pandemic? What happens when a guitarist who loves doom collides with a bassist who believes his instrument should be at the forefront of the ensemble? You get Devil Moon Risen. Our debut album Fissures of Men is a blend of desert rock, punk, sludge, doom and metal. Infectious bass grooves and heavy guitars drive a journey through stream-of-conscious lyrics that touch on a variety of subjects from desert culture to the intrusiveness of human thought.
